Construction of the first industrial complex for the production of equipment and large-tonnage building structures for the nuclear and oil and gas sectors

At the end of 2022, the SATOMS group of companies presented a project for the construction of the first industrial complex for the production of equipment and large-tonnage building structures for the nuclear industry and oil and gas sector. On November 16, 2022, the fourth legal entity of the group of companies was registered — First Industrial Complex of SATOMS, Limited Liability Company (FIC SATOMS, LLC).

In December 2022, at a meeting of the Expert Council for Industrial-Production and Technology-Implementation Special Economic Zones of the Voronezh Region chaired by the regional governor A. Gusev, the business plan of PPK SATOMS, LLC was unanimously supported, and on December 28, a certificate was issued certifying the registration of the entity as a resident of the special economic zone “Center” located near Voronezh.

The SATOMS company will ensure, when creating a production complex in special economic zone of industrial production type “Center” for manufacturing equipment and large-tonnage steel structures for the backbone and economically sustainable sectors of the Russian economy — nuclear and oil and gas energy — attracting investments of more than 1.8 billion rubles and creating 611 jobs.

Designing a pulling production facility with the application of the best available technologies will contribute to the improvement of energy and environmental safety and efficiency, and consequently increase the competitiveness of production and contribute to the reduction of costs compared to existing enterprises. The choice of the construction site in an industrially developed region with a large number of technical schools and the experience of the SATOMS group of companies in training specialists with the necessary skills in the field of power engineering will solve the problems of personnel shortage. And the location on the territory of the special economic zone “Center” will allow in the medium term to bring the enterprise to the design indicators in 1.25 years, and to the planned capacity by the IV quarter of 2027.

Within the framework of the project implementation on the allocated land plot of 6 hectares, it is planned to build a production building with the area of 22 thousand square meters with lifting mechanisms up to 50 tons, and administrative and household premises of 6 thousand square meters. In the spring of 2024, the project documentation passed expert examination and was prepared for obtaining a construction permit.
